A personal thank you for saving my children's musical taste.  Maybe I'm just getting old and can't appreciate Kesha and similar artists, but thanks to Rock Band, my kids have an appreciation of many more artists that I actually feel have some talent.  Now, all I have to listen to is arguments over which Beatles song dad should play in the car.

I want Yellow Submarine!

I want Paperback Writer!

So Dad, plays GTFO by Skid Row, and gently kicks the kids to the curb during a rolling stop.  Haha!  Lesson learned kiddies!

I walked in my 9 years room last night to turn his lights off, since he fell asleep, and he had a Beatles playlist playing on his iPod. AWESOME!!!!

Yeah, its just nice to see that they don't just listen to the flavor of the week stuff and appreciate older artists. Some of that stuff is fine, but I think to truly appreciate music, they need to hear different genres and time periods as well.
