Shared on Fri, 08/24/2007 - 23:18I was a little...no, I was VERY, disappointed when I didn't get a chance to play the Halo3 multiplayer beta. Sure, I can't wait for Halo3 but I couldn't plop down the $60 to get the guaranteed beta play time (i.e. Crackdown), nor did I have the time to play Halo2 3 straight days, nor did I get a "Friends and Family" invite.
So, imagine my surprise when I got home from a long day at work today to see a message from cod4beta@infinityward.com, which is the e-mail address posted on charlieoscardelta.com as the one distributing the tokens! I thought this must be some kind of joke, because I was pumped up about getting a chance to get a beta token this Monday. I opened the e-mail and gladness ensued as I read the first few lines...

Holy crap!! Are you kidding me? Not to be too excited, and still thinking this is a joke, I ate dinner first...OK, actually I ran downstairs and turned on my 360 and started the download, then I came back up and ate dinner. Just as the 2o2p staff posted about a week or so back...this game is awesome. Now, I'm not yet good enough to get the 5 or 7 kills in a row needed to call in an airstrike (but I did get the UAV with 3 in a row!!..and ranked up twice in just 3 matches, that's OK for me I suppose), but it's still sweet!! Definite buy for all you COD or FPS fans!! And just so you guys believe me I've got some pics below of the startup screen on my system (since it was already posted on charlieoscardelta.com), but no more so as not to violate their trust and post any in-game action!! If any other 2o2p'ers got the invite, send me a FR and we'll play!!
