Eye surgery

My 7 year old daughter had eye surgery today. Needless to say, it was a little stressful because of the nature of the surgery. I mean, we are talking about her eyes. Somehow she was born with a cataract in her right eye. After years of monitoring it to see if it would get better on its own, our eye specialist decided that there was no other solution but to go ahead and do the surgery. They completely removed her lens and put in a prosthetic lens.

The good news is that everything went OK with the surgery and now we just wait for some healing. She will have to wear a patch for a while on her left eye to retrain her right eye and we will have to get her new glasses because obviously we expect the needed prescription in her right eye to be different now. So for now, all is well, but I'll keep everyone posted.
