Shared on Sun, 09/06/2009 - 02:34In So. California, the arsonist-started San Gabriel mountains fire continues this weekend, and has burned 76 homes and 241 square miles of land at last count. Some days you can't even see the mountains from in front of the foothills, its just an opaque white haze. Today the sky was clear and deep blue, aside from the huge smoke plume you see here. I took this picture this afternoon, and it shows a large smoke plume extending from the San Gabriels some miles east of Mt. Wilson (where many commercial, police and fire transmitter and repeater radio towers are located.)
