The wife has such goofy hours and works at the mall so it is challenging to get it all done aside from using the intraweb without her knowing. I took yesterday off to take my little one (4 year old Hayden) to Disney on Ice. It was a school field trip for her but parents could go, and I like spending time with the girls as much as possible. I have 4 daughters, so sometimes it is tough to get alone time with them, which I think they all need so yesterday was awesome for her and I.
Aside from spoiling her with junk food and spending a ton on Disney merchandise for her and her sisters (yes, all the financial fun of Disney without leaving the state) we went shopping for the wife to finish up. The highlight of that was going into Victoria's Secret...Christ on a freaking cracker talk about conflicted when dealing with some smoking hot 19 year old (guessing) sales chick while taking your 4 year old Christmas shopping for your wife. Especially when the little one starts asking me if the bras were to cover mommy's boobs
I definitely did a lot of shopping online, but I sort of like doing the store thing. I have a potential ebay moment about to happen I think. I got my 15 year old a Creative Labs Zen Micro Photo and decided to get her a couple accessories (boom box type dock for it and some case). I got the Zen on buy.com with no issue, but the accessories I ordered from a retailer through ebay. I have had terrific luck with ebay for years, especially when dealing with people that run stores on there. In this case I won the auctions last Sunday and paid not even 10 minutes afterwards. I have still not received a single word from them despite a couple emails to the seller. They even had in their auction very clearly a statement saying if payment is not received in like 10 days, they leave bad feedback. I can promise this, if I get the stuff and it is in good condition they are still getting bad feedback from me for not responding to me and potentially fucking me on Christmas if it shows up late.
My Zune came in yesterday, I opened it just to check it out then sadly handed it over to the wife for wrapping. Oh well my new friend, see you in 9 days. It is pretty freaking cool though, cannot wait to play with it.
Last night I played Gears for the first time in a while and generally sucked, I love the game and am uber excited about the possible patch on 12/24 and what it holds. It was hard to tear myself away from Rainbow 6 though...but I managed. It was a fun night with a room full of my 2Old4Tactics brethren and lots of smack talking.
Speaking of 2Old4Tactics folks, if you have not read MikeTheKnife's latest blog post you have to. It is vintage MTK. He also posted in our clan forums, here are a couple of bits from it...and yes yours truly is the man of the hour in them...
