So what's with the negative ratings?

Who knows.. I agree with SuperGG on this one. Just be glad we're still not using the "karma system". that was a great concept from Doodi but turned out to be the equivilant of being slapped with a bag full of dicks.. You rock. +1 =)

The answer is: Who knows? Some ppl just get bored I think. A colorful banner is always nice and hoobs are nice too. You've got the right attitude for sure...caring less. +1

I give -1 for only 1 reason: double blogs. AND only if the person should know better. i.e. if they are new, I'll give them a pass. Sometimes if the double blogs are interesting, I'll give it a pass too. I really hate when people double post, about nothing, and it's ony pictures and inside jokes for their clan buddies. I read blogs to get to know new people here on 202p. Other than that I have no idea why thumbs down fairy comes. Oh: when people write about something sad, I immediatly almost click thumbs down. Because, well, If someone face to face to you said "Hey my dog just died." and you gave the thumbs up: wouldn't you be a total asshole? I have to think.. . no.. J-Cat give thumbs up for support....

I rarely even notice the rating on my blog. I am far more interested in the comments that people leave. I view my blog as a place to speak my mind. The true value comes when people disagree and explain why. The exchange of divergent views is a cornerstone of learning.

There are people in this world who exist only to bring grief to people. And their weapon of choice is the thumbs down button.

People inherently suck. As soon as I post a blog I immediately get a -1 or -2...I wouldn't care if someone said why they were thumbing me down...but they don't. They thumb down and run away...so fucking childish..Which does annoy me because they give thumbs down no matter what: I post I lost my job, thumbs down, I post a joke, thumbs down, I post pics of hot chicks, thumbs down, I post pics that I took, thumbs down......stupid people. It may be dumb to get annoyed by it...but I don't care...it still annoys me! lol. I rarely give a thumbs down, and if I do, I explain why...and I have been trying to give thumbs up more often...but I mostly forget....I suck too, lol.

We've got rep power on some other boards that's used the same way. Kinda seems pointless since no one uses it for its intended purpose... and the fact that the place is like High School Drama Fest Online. OMG!! I just got my once in a lifetime brilliant idea.... oh yeah... myspace... and facebook... and hot-or-not... and uh... the rest of the intardnet.
