He's as hardcore as any of us but still young enough to not remember what we've all grown up with. I was listening to him expound on how cool this game is and how useful this guide would be and it got me to thinking. Do you remember the controller with and A & B button, Pause, Start, and a D pad? Okay How about a Joystick and a Red button at the base? You do? Man. Noah must have tossed you of the Ark right behind me! Ah, the simple pleasure of getting to "play" the game on the first try and not just learning what each button does! A strat. guide you say? Ha! A booklet with less that ten pages is more like it. When I pay what they charge for a game nowadays all I want to do is go home, put it in and start seeing what the fuss is about. After a while I always wind up stuck and pissed off because I can't figure this shit out quick enough for me so the controller gets some air miles and I storm off. About this time I'll either get on here or call someone. If that don't work, I'll swallow my pride and go back and see Jamie and shell out another twenty for the guide. I play games to get rid of stress not add to it. If I want more all I have to do is look at the bills or get online against some trash talking yourngster that hasn't reached the age of the socks I'm wearing. Then I remember, this is the progress in gaming we all hoped would someday come when we were saving the world from the dreaded "Space Invaders". Whats an 8 track man to do in an ipod world?
