I can't believe I got up feeing well enough to drive into town and get my copy of Street Fighter and Killzone 2 for the PS3, not to mention a midnight launch on Monday for Halo!!! Now if I can keep my sugar levels low enough so my eyes don't screw up, maybe I'll get to play instead of hearing the wife talk smack since I've been trying to recover. I'd like to thank all of you who have helped so far in me finding a low impact workout out program, Right now it looks like either Golf or the Will. Any Thoughts?? Peace out!

The Wii for you might be good if you get the balance boad and play mostly 'exercise' type games. It's at least getting you moving and stuff. Are you injecting insulin? If you are, make sure you're injecting it deep enough into your body. There's not much blood flow through fat especially belly fat, so your absorption of the insulin will not be what it should be. What you want to do is push in pretty hard with your thumb and index finger touching each other then spread them apart an inch or two to create a pocket and then with your other hand inject into the middle of that pocket. Or the other way to go is if you have love handles you can kind of pull up and under and inject kind of from the hip into the underside of the love handle basically behind the fat. It's hard to explain but if you jsut got at it trying to keep in mind you want the insulin in high blood flowing areas and not so much in your fat, you'll find ways to get under the fat on your own. The latest med combo is Lantis and Humalog. Lantis is a 12 hour background insulin so usually people inject it twice a day. Then you use humalog when you eat usually taking the number of units as a multplier of the number of carbs in your meal. So like if something had 100 carbs in it you would take 100 x 0.1 or 0.2 and inject that much insulin. ANyway like i said, if you've been diabetic for a while now and just didn't know it, you've basically made your body toxic. So it'll take three months or so to normalize your body again. The good thing about really high blood sugar is the insanely fast weight loss. If you have no insulin, your cells can't draw the sugar in from the blood so your body basically goes into starvation mode and consumes your fat and muscle as food so you get rapid weight loss. Shitty part about going on insulin is it's a growth hormone so you have to work twice as hard to loose half as much weight as a 'normal' person once the weight starts to come back.
