I was having a good evening last night. I found out I won an Ibanez Guitar on Ebay, ate some wasteland chilli, sugar levels holding steady and really looking foward to the midnight launch tonight of the new Halo. I started up the stairs and my left knee twisted then felt like it slammed bone against bone and I hit the floor. Damage done? The MRI shows NO ACL and severe cartledge damage. I was sent to the surgeon who after viewing the films stated I get to have surgery, a dead guy's ACL, cartledge removed and 9-12 months of PT. He went on to say I'll be on a walker for at least 6 weeks after surgery. I mean my knee bother me some but I had no idea. Advice? When things are going to well, WORRY! Peace out

damn dude, life is really shitting on your head huh? Make sure you tell the doc you're diabetic, they'll need to constantly monitor your glucose levels during surgery. Having high glucose will also make healing take longer. If you weren't just diagnosed and had it under control it wouldn't be an issue but high glucose screws with your immune system and organs and everything. I wish you all the best.

What Tank said. Those are some great tips. Damn dude, you had NO idea you had no ACL in your knee? I've had a couple knee surgeries and have little to no cartiledge left as a result, but I never major ligament damage like that so I can't give you an idea of what to expect. I guess I would just make sure to take advantage of the pain meds. :D
