Some Day Off

Well, yesterday was supposed to me my day off before heading into the office for the rest of the week. That is easier said than done for some and I'm no different.

My wife and I own a house that we were renting to a nice Argentinian couple, but they fell on hard times and eventually left the country without paying their final months payment. What's more is they destroyed our entire upstairs carpeting. It was so bad that we decided to pull it out and put in that laminate flooring. Unfortunately for me, my wife is cheap and we ended up putting the flooring in ourselves.

Let me tell you something...I have newly found respect for people who handle the installation of this crap and anything else in the way of carpentry or building. After one day of putting this stuff in, I've pulled every muscle in my body (including butt, but who knew you could pull that) and feel downright sick. It seems the better half also has seen better days as well.

I've learned that its okay to spend the $1200 on installation for flooring because it's just worth the money and time saved personally. Also, being a landlord isn't such a great thing.
