The super-deluxe-happy-fun-time announcement was nothing more than a new Xbox Live Arcade Game, Pac Man Championship Edition. Still, what they did was keep a relatively big Arcade title under wraps until the day before release. I also think I'll like the game, but it was hardly the news I was waiting for. Therefore, the Gamasutra article in the previous post is unrelated to today's news. The article states that this version of Pac Man with the timed modes are what the finalists will play today in NYC.  So, can you beat the champs' scores?

I love pac man. When I was little, we had a TI and it had Munch Man. Frickin AWESOME game. I guess that was my very first gaming addiction!

I loved Munch Man, ant run, and that spaceship game on the TI. The spaceship game had you fly thru a tight cavern for fuel--I can't remember the name. And let's not forget the Scott Adams adventure games. They were simpler than Infocom, but I enjoyed them as a friend and I would try to figure out how to use that damned bell, book, and candle!
