"CRANK" Geared Towards 2O2Players

Unlike the Transporter and Transporter 2, this light-on-plot Jason Statham action flick features a killer who suprisingly doesn't do a lot of fancy fighting moves.  It's like watching a bulldozer move at hypersonic speeds.  Still, it wasn't a great movie, but I redboxed it for $1, I got it a lot faster than downloading it, and was able to tell it wasn't worth more than a dollar rental.

My main reason for bringing this movie up, is that there is imagery that a lot of 2o2players will recongnize.  Many video games and video game influenced visuals.  I noticed a Robotron Scene early in the credits, the Atari 2600 version of Bezerk is featured during the movie, and the scene segues were done Grand Theft Auto (original) Style.  There were tons and tons of imagery plastered all over the backgrounds.  One men's room had the Bezerk guy from the 2600 as the "man" symbol.  Another window had a frosted-glass facade with Evil Otto from the Atari.

I guess the symbolism is that sometimes, you're in a no-win scenario, like Bezerk which never ends, and you must try and survive the longest to get the best score.
