- Game: NRA Gun Club (PS2, Crave)
- Genre: Shooting Gallery
- The Good: Promotes proper respect for firearms. Tries to be realistic. Is a really cool museum of guns. Uses the controller to mimic a gun. Difficult.
- The Bad: It crashes on PS3. Graphics are dated for a recent game release. Not too exciting. Difficult.
- Things I learned: you can mimic a gun with a dual shock. Right thumb on right analog stick for aim, right trigger finger on R1. It's just as easy to "pull" a shot as in real life.
This game really needed Charleton Heston to narrate. What do you expect for $15 new? I got mine used for a little less. If you like Shooting Master in the arcade, you should like this game as well. The game is difficult, because you must be fast and accurate. It also has a variety of games. The Darts Minigame lets you play 301 with bullets instead of darts. Not a good idea in a real pub! Bowling has you try to shoot ten cans of a pyramid in one or two shots. Certification drills are the tough parts.
Imagine that, a shooter that actually represents acceptable use and proper handling of guns? I like that idea--good for them! Contrary to rumor, reload times are automatic and as fast as a pro could do it. It's a true sports simulation.
