I'm Not Too Proud To Admit a Mistake

Housekeeping time!  I have made two errors in my personal entries that need correction.

Ridge Racer 7 is not too hard on PS3.  It can seem difficult if you race with the base vehicle of any make/class.  The game has a "tune up" system where you can mod your cars for better performance.  Since that is the key to winning races, and I failed to do that before, it makes the game seem more approachable.  This was a big oversight, considering this is a common racing game concept.  Plus, I overlooked the fact that the money I earned in the Grand Prix had to go towards something.  After playing the game for over a week, RR7 is different enough from RR6.

Having the Wii controller fly out of your hand can be from following instructions.  In Rayman's Raving Rabbids on the Wii, a third-party title from Ubisoft, the Cow Throw event instructs you to "swing the Remote above your head."  This is contrary to common sense and Nintendo's safety instructions.  But, if taken literally, that just makes the person who breaks the strap naive, not necessarily an idiot.  My new Nunchuk controller from Nintendo came packed with an additional warning paper, with "Warning!! Warning!!" written all over it.  This is like when I found out that the lawsuit agains McDonald's for burning coffee was not groundless.  In that case, the coffee was brewed and kept at a very high, 3rd-degree-burn-inducing temperature that was against regulations.  If the coffee had been at a normal temperature, only 1st-degree burns should have occurred from accidental spills.  It's all in the context.

I have to add that I don't recommend putting scalding hot liquids at crotch-level while playing Rayman's Raving Rabbids or Ridge Racer 7, either.
