Shared on Thu, 07/05/2007 - 20:00Stupid Hot Coffee ruined game ratings forever. Then Bully got pre-purchases pulled because it was unrated, and then turned out to be a "T" game. Now I call Shenannigans! I saw Guitar Hero Rock the 80's on pre-sell reserve at Best Buy. Guess what? It's not rated. Didn't all the retailers agree to not take reserves on unrated games? Just because you don't think it will be "M" or "A," it's not a sure thing. Explicit Prince lyrics could easily vault a title into "Adults Only" territory. I know they won't use the real explicit stuff, but this is just another way in which retailers only use the ratings to advance their own sales. When they know an "RP" game will sell to general audiences, they don't bother to follow their own rules.
