Badge of Honor

This is really not that long of a Blog.

I just wanted to say that I am so saddened by the state of this union. In so that it is such a HIP and cool thing to hate the government and religion and anyone that believes in it. People today seem to now where it as a BADGE OF HONOR. People are so proud of their hatred and proud to tell anyone who disagres that they are hatemongers, stupid, dellusional, whatever.

Why are you so proud of your hatred?

Why are you so proud of your dissent?

Why are you so proud of your rhetoric?

I just don't get it.

Imo some think it has a cool factor to going against the bond and common ground that keeps this country great.-VALUES Not unlike some think its cool to have discs stuck in their earlobes bigger than a rodeo champs belt buckle! Sometimes you just have to try and find the good in these folk cuz they can be truly lost & clueless.

Well, oddly enough people have the same passion for the Wii vs. PS3 vs. Xbox 360 debate. I think people just get over-excited so easily and spin out of control fast. There just aren't enough rational laid back folks in the US anymore. Everyone has to be a spokesperson for their own problems and voice them out loud. Sometimes, if you don't have anything good to say - you should go shoot yourself in the face :) Okay, maybe that's now how it goes but there is something that goes "if you have nothing good to say, don't say anything at all." I often love the sound of silence, too bad so few understand that yelling, bitching and complaining doesn't get you anything but a lot of enemies.

You hear the most from the people farthest to the left or the right. The last few years have been very dividing times in the world. Most people don't hate government or religion, they hate the percieved deceit of the public or choices made by them. Taking things personally has reached a new level. All I can say is, don't take it personal, be understanding, be part of the solution. Things will swing back to our great tolerant society. Besides, those damn Republicans are already losing power (j/k).

Not to be a prick, but when people complained and hated this country and railed on and on in the late 90's and asked for the death of the Clintons and their exile, did you complain in the same fashion? or does it only upset you because people dislike what republicans have done while having complete control? Like I said, I'm not trying to be a dick or start an argument, but I always want people to focus on more than just the current predicament, and think back to other, relevant experiences. Happy to continue this Offline.

Yes, I thought what was happening with Clinton was sickening. I thought it horrible that we went after him like that(Star), I found it disgusting that he lied. I thinkthe whole situation was wrong. I don't agree with all that the Republicans are doing. I don't agree with how this war has been run. The thing is, what I can't stand is that people here seem to blow right past me saying that, and just rail away. Like I said, I honestly believe, they hate just to hate. It is cool to do. look at me, I am a rebel. You miss my point though. I am not saying that everyione has to agree with everything. I am refering to those HERE, that are so damn proud of hating everything. They do exist, they do spout their hatred and they do point thier fingers.

Tolerance is not in vogue anymore. Couple that with an entitlement mentality, short attention spans, instant gratification and the media's love for exacerbating the polarization of opinion in this country and you get: Exactly what your blog was about.
