Shared on Fri, 09/08/2006 - 23:29It's been a while since I put anything down in this little white box, so what the heck.
The Plantronics headset works great, after having to exchange it due to a faulty mute switch on the first unit. Otherwise, it's way more comfortable than the standard 360 headset and should hold me over quite nicely until the wireless headset comes out.
Playing with the GSN (Geezer Sports Network) guys has been a lot of fun. After having the NCAA league dissolve after a 5-0 start, I find myself playing Madden and NCAA. Madden season just started up and the NCAA is a double elimination tourney that we're playing with 8 "dedicated" players. We found a lot of guys who wanted to play in the NCAA league, but then dropped out when Madden came out. Frustrating for the guys running the league, but we were able to pick up some of the pieces and glue them back together.
Work sucks as usual, but hey, who's gonna listen to me whine. I get paid every 2 weeks, my wife and son have a roof over their heads, food in their bellies and I've got money to spend on gaming every once in a while. We're getting ready to put an addition onto our house, doing most of the work myself, minus the framing, roof and foundation work that is. I'm not cutting holes in my house and nailing boards to it unless I know what I'm doing. I'm fine with the finished stuff, drywall, wiring, flooring (not in that order of course) etc. Gotta start gathering quotes from builders next week and start getting the financing together.
As the only one in the house working, the stress is starting to get to me a little. My wife stays home with our 1 year old son. I love her to death and she's wonderful with him, but it's a little grating when I'm at work getting my head kicked in by my boss and she calls me from the park where she's having a picnic lunch with him. I'd shoot someone's grandmother with a paintball gun right in her dusty vagina to have a picnic in the afternoon with my son. Oh well, the joys of being born with a penis. Wow that's pretty sexist. heheh.
Sheesh
