GloBULL Warming

First off, let’s define global warming.  Taken directly from dictionary.com:

An increase in the average temperature of the Earth's atmosphere, especially a sustained increase great enough to cause changes in the global climate. The Earth has experienced numerous episodes of global warming through its history, and currently appears to be undergoing such warming. The present warming is generally attributed to an increase in the greenhouse effect , brought about by increased levels of greenhouse gases, largely due to the effects of human industry and agriculture. Expected long-term effects of current global warming are rising sea levels, flooding, melting of polar ice caps and glaciers, fluctuations in temperature and precipitation, more frequent and stronger El Niños and La Niñas, drought, heat waves, and forest fires.

Let’s go back to grade school where we learned about our solar system.  The Sun is the center of our system, all the planets revolve around it.  Do you remember studying how the Sun determines our seasons as the different hemispheres inclinations are altered from our revolving around the sun?  Ok, so, we have seasons, weather changes and temperature changes, this is natural, this is how our planet works.

So, an increase in the greenhouse effect brought about by increased levels of greenhouse gases, largely due to the effects of human industry and agriculture.  This is the main premise for the global warming conspiracy, that we, human beings with our big industry, our polluting vehicles and voracious consuming of natural resources are causing sea levels to rise, causing more flooding, causing the polar ice caps and glaciers to melt, more droughts, heat waves and forest fires.  Sounds like we are our own worst enemies huh?

A few years back Astronomers announced that Pluto has been experiencing global warming.  They stated it’s likely a seasonal event such as how Earth’s seasons work.  If we humans are causing warming, who is causing Pluto’s?  Is there an advanced race of beings there with their natural resource consuming industries warming the planet up?  Hmm…  Let’s continue.  A few years later, Astronomers announced that Jupiter is having climate change also.  A huge hurricane like storm occurred and may be attributed to climate change happening on Jupiter and it was expected to raise the temperature on the planet by 10 degrees.  Must be another advanced race on Jupiter causing all this with their emissions huh?  A study in 1997 showed that the sun is getting hotter, thus adding more heat to Earth.

Back in the early 1980’s and 1990’s when the theory of global warming was just starting out, a prominent French scientist named Claude Allegre was one of the very early ones warning of global warming.  Claude is one of France’s leading socialists and a very celebrated scientist.  (Remember this word Socialist!)  Well, it seems Mr. Allegre has had a change of heart on his previous statements.  Running many climate models and studies they’ve seen them fail horribly in producing a man-made cause of catastrophic warming.  We’ve seen the media circus surrounding global warming and its proponents, how come we never hear of the scientists who have done more studying now renouncing their former pro global warming views? 

Let’s plant two more seeds of doubt for global warming right quick.  In a 1970’s Science Magazine article:

Science magazine (Dec. 10, 1976) warned of "extensive Northern Hemisphere glaciation." Science Digest (February 1973) reported that "the world's climatologists are agreed" that we must "prepare for the next ice age." The Christian Science Monitor ("Warning: Earth's Climate is Changing Faster Than Even Experts Expect," Aug. 27, 1974) reported that glaciers "have begun to advance," "growing seasons in England and Scandinavia are getting shorter" and "the North Atlantic is cooling down about as fast as an ocean can cool." Newsweek agreed ("The Cooling World," April 28, 1975) that meteorologists "are almost unanimous" that catastrophic famines might result from the global cooling that the New York Times (Sept. 14, 1975) said "may mark the return to another ice age." The Times (May 21, 1975) also said "a major cooling of the climate is widely considered inevitable" now that it is "well established" that the Northern Hemisphere's climate "has been getting cooler since about 1950."

So, in the 70’s it was global cooling.  10-20 years later it is global warming.  What gives?  Well, China and India are industrializing and creating more emissions right?  That’s gotta be the explanation. 

There is roughly 6.5 billion humans on Earth.  We humans existed before petroleum products were used.  Major cities were using animals of burden for travel and services so cities were stinking with animal waste.  Not to mention the poor sanitation these cities had, cholera was a major virus for cities.  Think about how people use to keep warm, with coal and wood.  These release more carbon per calorie of energy than petroleum so if we completely went away from oil people would turn to coal and wood to warm.  But that's why we're developing Ethanol and alternative sources of energy right?   Tie my previous post about the money that is at stake for these green companies in to this post and you  can see what's going on.

Starting to doubt the man-made global warming a little bit?  My next post will detail why global warming is being pushed on us and what’s at stake for proponents and opponents of this.  I also mentioned above to remember the word Socialist or Socialism,  this plays a huge role in the next post also.
