Unemployment Bummer...

What a time to be unemployed! Holidays are coming and I've been out of a job since July... that really bites! Plus I live in Henderson, NV and I have to fight the unemployed population of Las Vegas (highest in the nation, mind you) to find a job... I just love my old employer for outsourcing to the Philippines! AAAAARGH!!!

Anywho, come the end of November the wife and I will be moving in with her parents because we can no longer afford our condo. While the decision will mean that we can save what monies we are getting to pay bills, we have our reservations about the choice as well. The mom-in-law; while being an awesome one at that, is talking about our responsibilities when we move in, as well as us having to be quiet after a certain time of day or night.

Responsibilities are a pain... but, what can you do? Life goes on, gotta do what you gotta do, right? I guess it kinda works out, holiday season and all... spending time with the family... meh! Looks like my gaming time is gonna be cut shorter than it already is... blah!

I'm gonna go kill Locust and Lambent... maybe switch sides and kill some Gears too.

Yep i feel ya, and no matter what they say they aren't really happy that you're moving in. Old people get into a routine and you moving in will disrupt it. I went through that with my father in law, stayed with him for 5 weeks this summer to look for work in the state he lives in. He was nice enough about it but I knew he didnt appreciate the situation that caused me to be there. Plus side is deciding to leave where I lived and look for work in another state paid off, I found work.

I had to move in with my sister recently because my disability turned out to be pregressive and I can't really do much in a day anymore. Luckily, I have the ground floor of a mansion like house, so we don't have to see eachother if we don't want to. But no matter how you look at it, the accomodating party, ie, your mother-in-law and my sister plus her family are the ones at the short end of the stick. I wonder if there are more 2o2p-peeps in this situation? We could start a supportgroup! =)

Thanks for the support, I love my in-laws but Cat is right, they are getting the short end of the stick. It's better than being homeless tho... Tank, what state do you live in? Maybe I should move there... LOL... I'm actually looking into moving to Utah... I have the necessary credentials to get my teaching license out there so I might just do that. Thanks again!
