Shared on Mon, 10/29/2007 - 08:28So I picked up the game that I wanted to buy a 360 - Guitar Hero 3. Rock On. The new Les Paul wireless controller kicks some serious ass. I played for about 8 hours yesterday so my hands hurt a bit this morning :) I went through all of medium and half of hard. Then I rocked some multiplayer with SirPoonga (which we totally tore up).
Neversoft worked a "storyline" into GH3 and it was good enough to get you from point A to point B but not really anything to write home about. The track selection isn't as good as GH2 (IMO) and the boss fights were kind of lame...until Lou. I won't spoil it for people who haven't finished the game yet but the final boss fight was actually kind of cool.
Flat-out suckage:
I'm definitely not regretting my 360 purchase now. This game is going to have a lot of play time left in it :)

Flat-out suckage:
- No built-in support for voice - boo. (although you can just create a voice channel in XBL)
- No XBL coop career? WTF!
- No "lobby" system
- Both head-to-head multiplayer modes are great fun
- great achievements
- wireless guitar (and it feels more sturdy IMO)
- Fire and Flames makes Freebird look like a walk in the park :)
