I have had no interest in picking up a 360 yet because frankly, no games really caught my interest. I picked up Guitar Hero 2 for my brothers PS2 (he lives with us) and I've been playing the shit out of that game. I already have a Wii so the logical choice would be to get GH3 for that...but Rock Band isn't too far behind GH3...and I'll need a 360 for that :)

So I took the plunge last night and picked up a 360 with an extra controller & Fusion Fenzy 2 (My wife and I *loved* the first one). I haven't popped in FF2 yet, but I re-activated my old gamertag, snagged some points, and picked up Pac Man C.E. - Hella Fun!!!!

Last night I played on my 22" widescreen LCD but tonight I'm going to take it upstairs and get it hooked up to ye olde big screen TV & surround sound. I also setup the media center extender and got the system all prepped to stream my tunes up to the living room. I think my wife will enjoy listening to our music collection on the stereo better than her crummy laptop speakers :)

Now might be a bad time to say the PC is getting GH3? Though I think Rock Band is only console, I don't see the PC logo on their site. Did you play Forza 2? yYou have achievements in it. Just rent it or borrow it? The new pacman is awesome. I've been mostly playing texas holdem and worms for arcade games. Friday is 2o2p poker night.

I actually got the Pro bundle that came with Forza 2 and Marvel Ultimate Alliance. I tried Forza for a bit..not exactly my type of racing game. I like something a bit more arcadish...not a huge fan of the "sim" racing games. Yeah, I'd rather play GH3 on the TV with my stereo cranked...not sitting in front of my monitor. I'll have to add more people to my FL and try to catch you guys on poker night!

Then you will like the new burnout when it comes out. For FPS it depends on the game. I don't mind Halo but I'd really like a mouse with that. Slower games like Rainbow Six and GRAW are great with the controller. Gatsu, everytime I joined the 2o2p dedicated TF2 server there has been another 2o2per on it. Since most people on PC don't have mics it's not as annoying as Live. There's going to be some good rentals coming this month. Though I heard Assassin's Creed got moved to 2008. This is one of the biggest reasons I am slowly moving towards console gaming only, I can rent the games.

That's funny you mention the rental thing. I was just sitting here thinking...when was the last time you bought a PC game you were really not happy with. I think PC gamers tend to stick with tried & true franchises, brands, and development studios. Unreal, Command and Conquor, Sim City, Half Life, Quake (ok, maybe not the most recent Quakes....). The best part is, 90% of the time the sequels offer great additional content and are worthy of our casholio. With the console, you've got to be really careful of what you're plunking your cash down for because there are so many games and new titles...who knows what's even worth it?

That's because on PC I get games I know I am going to play for awhile since I know there is no returning it or renting it. Plus PC has more demos. Pretty much every PC game has a demo. With console I know I can get a mediocre game and trade it in later. I do have some PC games I wish I could trade in.

Don't expect to see me playing *ANY* FPS's on the 360...you know my PC is my first love for those Balek :) Besides, I'm still knee deep in TF2, I don't think I'm playing any other FPS's for a loooooooooong time (except maybe UT3).

Bah SG...neither of those titles should be played for the MP experience anyways, but rather for a pretty damn solid SP game (BioShock in particular).

Let me reiterate my current game list I'm actively playing... -TF2 -World In Conflict -Supreme Commander -Unreal 3 demo -Guitar Hero 2 (soon to be GH3) I'll leave it at those 5 for now :)

good stuff man. welcome to the club. don't put shooters on the 360 out....even though the pc is better for shooters....you can get more 2old2play peeps for sure on a console. thats another reason I haven't moved back into pc gaming...not enough fellow 2old2play peeps are on the PC.

Gatsu, come join us for some TF2 on the PC - we've got a big (and growing) crew that is on the 2o2p server almost every night! I just really despise using a controller...I've tried it on multiple occasions and I just *really* can't get used to it. Nothing against the games, just my own ineptitude :)

can always get that adapter that lets you use the mouse & keyboard on your 360! muharhar. From what I've heard/read they have dramatically improved the hardware so it works pretty well. I've still gotta pick it up on PC. Once I do I will DEFINITELY hit you guys up for some games.
