My first double-post!!!!

Yeah, sorry about that...I don't make it a habit to invoke the almighty evil double-post but it just dawned on me...

As a child of the 80's I have some fond memories of TMNT, Transformers, MASK, NES, C64, and a host of other cartoon and video game related gems. This year we're being (hopefully) treated to two of my favorite cartoon characters brought back to the big screen. I'm a *little* hesitant to jump on the Transformers bandwagon because it looks like it deviates quite a bit from the original storyline. The Turtles look like they've been done some justice if this trailer is any indication of the elements that are going to be incorporated into this movie.

The brief glimpse at The Shredder has definitely made it a bit more of a must see for me.

Even though the transformer movie sounds like it is not inline with any of the toons I think it will still be good. If you forget about the past, forget about your preconceived notions of a transformer, then I think people will like the movie.

I'm still on that open-letter plea that was released last year'ish. Transfomers was part of my childhood. I'm seriously getting fed-up with the raping of my fondest cartoon memories. TMNT looks sweet though. Thanks for posting the trailer.

TMNT does look really sweet. Definitely good they're busting back onto the big screen and since it's CGI it's allowing for movements and martial arts that are more true to how the Turtles should be and were in the comics. Going off of the original teaser trailer alone, the way they were leaping off of rooftops and the moves they had with their weapons you could tell there will be some fast and furious battle sequences. Not the biggest fan of the way that the humans are rendered in the movie, sort of a Batman / Justice League / Superman / Teen Titans animated series style that I've never liked (I'm bothered by monstrous upper bodies on toothpick legs), but hopefully the movie will be good enough that I can overlook it (like I was able to overlook the Superman costume in Returns). Transformers.... could be good. I'm hoping. If it follows the original story of the robots taking form of vehicles observed instead of their true forms it could work. Not terribly fond of how futuristic ultra crazy cyborg looking they are... Prime SHOULD NOT HAVE FLAMES (honestly, I think the person who made that move feels that's popular and looks cool and it's neither) and his head looks kinda awkward on the body with all those pistons and empty space. I'll give it a chance, hope it doesn't disappoint. Hopefully this will be a year of fantastic movies instead of 80s cartoon recreation bastardizations of once great franchises.
