Thanks to SirPoonga for sharing his new rig details to get me started.
I'm going to be picking up two Dell 22" LCD's to round out the new system.


Team Fortress 2 Beta starts next Monday (if you pre-ordered the Orange Box on steam) and
I can say this is the most excited I've been for a game in a looooong time.
Hopefully this will get the 2o2p PC gamers out of "WoW mode" and back into FPS'ing.

Sweet rig. If I do go the route of TF2 for the PC, will likely upgrade my CPU to a dual core...other than that, with dual 7950s and a gig of GPU RAM...I should be ok. :)

Man, one up me on everything, but the hdd.\r \r You will want 4 gigs of memory. Vista is a hog. I should be getting 2 more gigs on friday.

Wich reminds me, I could use a memory upgrade and maybe another HDD, my pc is already dual core, maybe a new GPU as well, you're sounds awesome. what are you gonna do with your current pc's parts?

@ mac\r \r I'm probably going to bequeath it to my younger brother or install freenas on it and load it up with HDD's. \r \r @ Poonga\r Yeah man, I really do want the 4 gigs but I kinda scoffed when I saw the total was over 2K :) I'll be doing a follow-up order soon because I forgot to order a fucking sound card...d'oh. \r \r @ gamerchicklet\r Supreme Commander supports dual monitors...I *had* to buy two :)

Meh, the on board sound on my p5k is decent.

@ poonga\r \r OK, that's good to hear then. One of the only reason I run with a sound card is so that I can setup teamspeak/ventrilo to run on a seperate device than the games. That way I can run my headphones and mic into one card, and run the game sound out on my 5.1 setup.
