I found out today that the lead singer of Quiet Riot....Kevin Dubrow, died today.  It hit me a little personally, because when I was 11 or 12 years old, I was into music like, Eddie Grant, Styx, Forigner, etc.....then my older cousin came to visit that summer, and introduced me to heavy metal, and he gave me two of his cassette tapes, and they were...."Quiet Riot, Mental Health" and "Twisted Sister, Stay Hungry".  Those 2 albums set the new musical bar for me at the time, and led me down the road of Heavy Metal, which I still travel today.  Ahh the days of pretending to play my stringless guitar in front of the mirror, jamming out on my "ghetto blaster" to "Cum on feel the noize", and such, dreaming of being the next Randy Rhodes.  Only to grow up being a drummer (because there were none), and not so much being a rock star!!!

Now, freakin 20 years later, after I heard about Kevin's death, I was looking it up, and found out that "Cum on feel the noize" was actually a "Slade" song, and Quiet Riot covered it, and made it famous.  I never was a Slade fan, so I had no idea,  So in tribute to the late Kevin Dubrow, I give you the "gay" original and the much better done cover, of "Cum on feel the noize."

Yup, this brought me right back to the 80's! Everyone I knew was singing this! Even those who weren't into metal.
