Happy Belated Mother’s Day!

 

We had a decent weekend. Friday, my wife and I were going to Halo it up all night, but she decided to take a “short” nap. At about 3am I figured she probably wasn’t getting up. At least I got in some good GTA time. Saturday we went out to eat with my parents to Texas Roadhouse, than we went back to their place and went swimming all afternoon. We grilled out Saturday night and played Mario Kart until about midnight. For Mother’s Day, the whole family went to a local Chinese restaurant that’s pretty nice. Great food. Then we went to the grandparent’s house for cake. All in all, not a bad weekend. I wish I would have gotten some fishing in at some point, but I just never got around to it. Oh well. I didn’t get around to mowing the lawn, either, so I guess it all balances out.

 

This week, I’ll be working my ass off to get all my work done before I go on my trip next week. The last time I went on one of these trips, I came back to find…well…a week’s worth of work waiting on me, on top of stuff I didn’t get done before I left. I definitely don’t want to come back to that again.

 

My anniversary is on the 17th. I have no idea what to do for my wife. Last year I got her a day trip to the spa, which she ended up not going too. Maybe I’ll just play it safe and go the flowers and card route. Sure, it’s cliché, but it works.

 

There’s a casino opening up about 15 min from out house. The temporary facility is supposed to be open before the end of the month. If it is open, I’ll take her to the casino. My baby loves the slots!
