Movie night

You ever run into those conversations with your spouse that begin with "I never get to..." It happens a lot in my house. Mostly because I enjoy planning and doing things outside of the current 5 members of our nuclear family. I enjoy going camping at a NASCAR Race, going fishing early in the morning to catch bass or late at night to drink beer. I'm suppose to be at the million-man-lan in Louisville, KY right now!!!! but am not cause of these types of conversations. (They still have my $60 if someone wants my seats. Runs tonight and tomorrow). My wife; well let's say she doesn't like to plan things for her to do as if we're not doing it as a family well then it can't be fun.

Last night I tried to kick my wife out of the house and make her go to a movie. She's pissed at her current girl buddy cause she's a selfish self centered dingbat who is still he best friend and didn't want to ask her. She hasn't had a night by herself in months. When I ask if she wants to go out and see a movie around lunch, she's all over the idea. By the time i get home though it's, "Meh..."

I love my wife but I'm of an opinion that if she doesn't get some hobbies and social stuff outside of my 3 screaming angels and me wanting nightly sex or watchign Stargate:Atlantis together, then she's gonna freak the fück straight out in a couple years. I even bought her a trip to Paris to visit a college friend a couple years ago and she completely bailed when it came close to going. I like doing things that don't involve my family from time to time.

Sorry. She actually went to the movie last night but not before pitching a fit about how I just wanted her out of the house.

/rant off

Shadowrun is still fun. I suck a small percentage less than I did the previous session. Funny comment at the end of the game that tells me I found a good group. I said at the end "My wife is back from her movie, gotta run" and 75% of the people in game said something to the same effect and quit. Nice to see I'm not the only one who can drop the game when something more important walks in the room.

For the record, Im not dissing people who like musicals. I have a medical condition that causes me to punch people in the groin when I hear singing. 'American Idol' causes me great discomfort and bowel distress. My wife watches it and I have to leave the house. I think it stems from the fact I had a roommate back in the day who would sing incessantly despite the many administered beatings. I even held him down and ripped out his toe hair. He. Wouldnt. Stop. Singing.

Good to know your having fun in Shadowrun. We rented it a couple weeks and I had a blast, I am waiting for the price to come down before buying. Teddybear doesn't more my game style) but if your playing with him and I come in he will be saying he has gotta get off because I want my turn on the XBox!!! We need to do a trading spouses, because my husband never plans ANYTHING for me other than going over to his parents house. You offer me a night without kids and I am outta there like a bat outta hell!!!

Nice Card. Movie was good. I enjoyed it. Musicals are fun to watch, but better to see in person. Nice blog
