I'm refusing to buy Madden this year. I think I'll put it at the top of the GameFly list and keep it for a month. Madden's 04, 05, 06 and 07 sitting on my shelf are enough to tell me it's probably a good choice. NCAA '08 still has a big hold on me. The Legend mode is surprisingly fun! I started a new Option QB last night and joined second string at Texas A&M. The stats seem to be generated randomly I guess as there are no hints in the game on how to improve specific stats... for instance the dude I just made has a speed of 97 and an acceleration of 93. It was hilarious watching the dude pull away from the high school teams I was playing. Of course being clothes lined over and over by the Texas A&M defense hasn't been fun once I 'enrolled'.
Dynasty is pretty cool. Recruiting is a lot deeper then it use to be with the ability to call potential recruits, schedule visits, make promises and generally kiss some virtual high school kid ass. You can even create your own player to go after if you wanted though I don't think it's really a boon... all the other players are randomly generated and the stats on the dude you create are random... so unless you want a 300 lb 7' Wide out I don't see the functionality of it.
Kids back in school today. New cast on the oldest's leg... he picked school colors for the leg.

I was never a spectator sports fan. Growing up, it escaped me why men were such football or baseball fans. Why did fathers clear their schedules every Sunday for even the most mundane of NFL matchups? I could never understand it.
And then I got married. Now I know what those three hours of uninterrupted game day viewing is all about. It's about ALONE. And somewhere along the way, all women were taught that husbands and fathers and brothers and sons would get three or four hours, 17 Sundays a year. And it was accepted
And God created football.
Like I said, I am wont to oversimplify things.
