Round 6 of Beer Club is complete except for the Sierra Nevada 30th Anniversary Ale. 22 oz at 11% abv requires a certain level of commitment I haven't been able to achieve since Thanksgiving. I over committed a wee bit Tday with my post turkey, Stone Russian Imperial Stout aperitifs. My wife was very proud. So I'm sorta saving the Anniversary for my, erm, anniversary next week. The resulting layers of irony will make me extra happy.
Having a nice selection of Octoberfest's was pretty fun, and festive. Bye bye round 6:
Neglecting the Anniversary Ale, my top three were:
Dogfish Head India Brown Ale
Sierra Nevada Tumbler
Smuttynose Old Leghumper
Also neglecting the Anniversary Ale, my bottom three were:
Weyerbacher Insanity
Weyerbacher Double Simcoe IPA
Oranjeboom (not really bad, just comparatively boring)
Just in time for Christmas, say hello to round 7:
Includes a nice selection of winter seasonals. The top row is right up my alley. Looks like lots more fun.
