Colonel Frank Donovan

I've written about the Colonel before.  He was my CO for the majority of my Marine tour and I consider his mentoring to be a turning point in my life.

Anyways, Colonel Donovan has been selected for promotion from Lt. Colonel to full bird Colonel.  His star is raising fast.  He is currently in War College and from there will return to a tour with the Special Ops Command.

What I didn't know, is that Colonel Donovan's younger brother is a SEAL (everyone in his entire family is in the Navy with the exception of him).  Anyways, his brother will be leaving for their sixth deployment over in Afghanistan later this month.

Now, you may have remembered that I mentioned that Colonel Donavan loved to run.  (He ran the Athen's Marathon with no training and finished 99th).  He seems to have taken his running to another level as he's let us know that he is training for his first Ultra Marathon.  That's 100 miles.  Our nickname for him still stands today.  "Terminator".

These are (2) more people you should know.  They have been on the frontlines for most of the past 4-5 years and continue to return and serve.
