I couldn't agree more Ladies. I'd also like to see every taxpayer pay their share per the current tax code before we increase the burden on anyone. Yes, I believe more than 50% of the population is committing tax evasion is some form or fashion.

While I respect the fact that Biden's son is fighting in Iraq, I question whether or not Biden understands patriotism.

Would that be the millionaires who busted their asses to create the economy and technology that enabled you to get a job?

I am not feeling patriotic enough to pay my share of taxes plus provide for the care of lazy ass people who won't get up off their ass and get a job. Why aren't they feeling patriotic enough to contribute to the well being of the country and quit sucking on our tit. I just did my taxes today. I wish they would just assign me another family to take care of, god knows it would be cheaper.

I also don't feel one ounce of pity for millionaires that have to pay more and might have to pass on that new Mercedes or Yacht this year. Yes, those that didn't inherit their wealth busted their asses to get it, but the fact remains that the society we have that enabled them to reap the benefits of their success needs to be supported. What's wrong with supporting that system that served them so well? And percentages are misleading as hell - how about showing the bank accounts of the top 10% even after they pay all those taxes - Or better yet , if you like percentages so much - follow those tax paid % amounts with what percentage of the nations wealth is held by 5% of the richest population. You might be surprised.

Don't confuse my opposition to the screwed up tax code with sympathy for "the rich". Our tax code is not fair at the bottom end of the top end,. And the middle (where I exist) is what gets screwed because contrary to what the percentages people toss around, that is where the bulk of the $$ are and where the extreme deficit spending of the past 30 years will land. The rest is populist bullshit. Hate the rich because they don't want to pay any more taxes than they have to. Big fucking crime. You don't want to pay any more taxes than you have to either. And you don't see ANY of these bastards calling for higher taxes VOLUNTARILY paying any extra to the government, do you? Fuck, Obama barely gave any money to charity much less paid "extra" in taxes. This is populism at it's worst and simple jealousy at best.

Dastard - preach it!. It is all about trying to create populist outrage, division and class warfare. It is the same tactic as infusing race into any political discussion. Obscure the facts by trying to get people misleadingly emotional. For those that "feel better" by sticking it to "the rich", how exactly has that improved your lot in life? Has that added money to your pocket, made you more secure in your job, made you better equipped to compete in this world? The answer is "no". But it buys idiot politicians votes and makes too many people feel like said politician is looking out for them, when it is far from the truth. In fact, fostering that mentality actually makes people less well off. Look at how too many people's mentality has become "bail out" oriented over the last six months or so. Why be responsible, work and honor your financial commitments when the government will take care of everything? That makes you more reliant on the government and less able to take care of yourself. Unfortunately, too many of the democratic policies foster that kind of mentality (not trying to be partisan, that is just a fact). How about we take a look at the last several years tax returns for all of these politicians that want to increase our taxes (it may be the "rich" today, but soon the middle and lower classes will be asked by the Obama administration to be more patriotic too). These people all have the opportunity to pay more taxes if they want to. You won't find one that actually did that. You will find that they all took as many deductions as they could to minimize their taxes. This same populist BS came up when Kerry was running and you know what? He never paid more in taxes than he was supposed to and actually had a really low effective tax rate due to deductions and other methods to reduce your tax bill. Nothing wrong with that from a legal perspective, but completely goes against the rhetoric that these assholes spew. Bottom line - government shouldn't raise taxes on ANYBODY until they stop wasting so much tax payer money. If they were responsible and didn't waste our tax dollars, you wouldn't need to raise taxes. We'd have lower taxes. BTW - Biden proves over and over again how much of a fucking idiot he is. Incredible.
