Looks like the Global Warming CO2 Curve. That's it...federal borrowing causes Global Warming!

Its been a while, but my memory tells me that this is much ado about nothing. I don't have the energy to look up the specifics, but basically, there was a rule around our borrowing.....this rule change caused the graph that you show at the bottom. Realistically: borrowing really hasn't increased that much of late. But some technical aspect of the borrowing changed so the graph is legit but severely misleading. NG

That rule was probably Sarbanes-Oxley. They messed a lot of stuff up with that.
