She got pissed off. the adrenaline was pumping... she fought him. Not the smartest move on her part... but it's not her "job" to be smartin an emergency situation... it's his.
that being said... someone should probably sit her down and got hrough what happened with this situation. Arguing with the officer is not helping... she should have said "Yes, I swore... I'm sorry... I'm scared... my dad is on the floor having a seizure and I don't know what to do..." She would have got help for her Dad faster, AND she still could have reported that this ass hat hung up on her for swearing the first time.
Mind you as it is: I highly doubt this si the first time this cop has gone off on a power trip. I will bet you dollars to donuts, after this came out, lots of locals came forward. They have the tapes and that's why he got suspended.
Wow, WTF? Gee, great time to go on a power trip, buddy. Maybe stop for donuts and coffee in the ambulance on the way to the hospital while you're at it.
Sure, the girl could have been a little smarter about choosing her battles, but if that had been me, after the first time the idiot cop lectured me about my language while a family member was dying (for all she knew), I would have hit the ceiling and gone completely apeshit.
If you're answering 911 calls, surely hearing occasional 4-letter words is to be expected? This guy should be fired at the very least, IMO, and probably sued as well.
Yeah he's an asshole, no doubt about it, and he did not act as one would hope an officer would act. He should be punished for it and apparently has been.
That being said, after the initial call the girl seemed more interested in arguing and threatening the officer than getting help. Why would you call back and engage the officer in the same behavior that just got you hung up on? Why not call back and say "please, please help me, my dad is on the floor having seizures" - instead she called back and choose to argue.

but if she needed to be addressed about her language, it should have been done in a letter that would be sent a week later asking her to cut down on the foul language, and not while there was an emergency going on.
The guy was looking for a fight, and he chose the worst possible time to do it.

Yeah, I agree the officer was in the wrong, but I can agree with Raider here also. That girl was also looking to argue...If that was me, even if the guy was being an asshat, I wouldnt have been wasting breath on talking about suing and trying to get his name. I would have been yelling over top of him that my Dad was having seizures and was unconcious...probably with the F word every other word though.
