I'm pretty sure that almost half of the houses in our neighborhood chose to leave their light off, meaning that either no one was home, or they just didn't want to participate.
Is it really that much of a burden to hand out $10-$20 worth of candy for 2-3 hours one night out of the year?
Even worse, are the people whose children are out trick-or-treating, but are not handing out candy themselves. Really?
Maybe next year I'll print out some special cards and leave them at the houses telling those people how much they suck.
Some people just suck.
