See ya' GOW...I won't miss ya much

I've been playing in a GOW league for the past couple months, otherwise, that ol' girl would have been traded off by now. While it is one of the absolute best single player and coop games I have ever played (maybe THE best), the multi-player must not have received much of Epic's attention. The lies are so utterly ridiculous that it's actually comical. During a scrim the other night I shot a guy with the shotgun TWICE, at point blank range, with both of us standing still, and he pulled up and killed me  The following night I hosted a scrim. Talk about a change of events! I could down guys by breathing hard in their direction, yet they couldn't kill me if they stuck an active-reloaded sniper rifle in my ear and pulled the trigger! There are allot of people that really love the game, which makes me long for Halo 3 even more than normal. The first time I hear one of the GOW MP fans complain of Halo-lies I just may need CPR, having thrown myself into a heart attack caused by excessive, uncontrollable laughter.

At any rate, Sunday night at 10pm is the final game of the league I've been playing in. About 2.2 seconds after the game is over, GOW is on the trading block. In all fairness I must say that I definitely got my money's worth out of the game. I played thorough the campaign on every difficulty at least twice each. The coop was a blast and made it worth every penny. All I can do is hope that they actually put some work into the MP of GOW2. If they do, they may end up with a helluva great all-around game.

I think, but I'm not at all sure, that the host gets some special boost just for being host. I don't play much MP, but in most sessions the host leads.
