Big Step

Today we are putting a contract on the business I'm interested in buying. The banker guy says it's a good deal, and the guy selling it came down some on his price. Dad (also my business partner) told me to start thinking in "boss mode" and in a week and a half or two (if everything goes as planned) I'll need to come up with my two weeks notice at my current job.

Two weeks notice. Weird. On October 22nd, I will have been at this job for 4 years. So almost 4 years to the date, I'll be out of here, and no longer an office slave/graphics/business director, hopefully soon I'll be a business owner/graphic designer. With as much stuff as I do around here, the list is nearly endless, they are going to have much fun finding someone to replace me. The one thing that I will miss about this place is my 6 month bonus which is 1% of profit, usually $2000 or more, and that's it. Hopefully everything will be worth it, and will work out as planned.

And, I'm just a tad nervous.

Oh, and a bonus to buying the business - I get to go to Florida for 2 or 3 weeks to get "trained"
