TU3! and other randomness

After a hellish couple of weeks with work, I am exhausted so decided to work from home today.  Have to do performance appraisals for folks who work for me and complete by end of month.  Now, like many of us here, I usually check this site to see whats up first thing in the monring when I log in at work .  I happened to be over at the GOW2 page and saw a post about the GOW2 TU3 coming on March 24 - yay.  Then of course I wasted a bunch of time checking out other sites and comments on this update.  So I didn't get nearly as much work done as I wanted.  But who cares - fixing probs on 3/24 and then new maps coming on march 31.  Guess I am going to be busy in a week or so checking it all out.

Anywho - in between all this hellish work, I managed to get online and play with some clannies for many hours to blow off steam.  And when the clan broke up for the night, went on to  play with some other folks.  Not sure if they are 2o2p or not.  Random friends of friends.  Something thing that I learned by playing with some non-clannies is that I have improved a ton in the two months that I have been playing online.  I am used to getting blown away when playing private matches with them, but did ok and wasn't always last when I played with other folks.  Ah - sweet progress.  I guess that is a sign that I need to be more social and play with other people more often just to shake things up.

Off to see the Chieftans tonight - an Irish musical group that specializes in tradtional music but always includes other genres.  You would be amazed at how much irish music and bluegrass have in common.  Anyway, they come to Boston around St Paddy's day every year.  Last year I took my kids 10 and 12 to see them for the first time - loved it.  My son listens to them on his ipod all the time.  Taking them again tonight - good times with the fam.

Skiing tomorrow and Sun.  Looks like the season is winding down......  Now starts the spring sports season - soccer and lax every weekend!  And hopefully some golf for dad in between.
