http://www.cnn.com/2013/06/12/tech/gaming-gadgets/microsoft-defends-xbox-one/index.html?hpt=te_t1
I'm certain Microsoft got their ideas about new business models for downloadable content from me:

I'm going to send Microsoft a letter and ask for my free Xbox One as an idea royalty of sorts.

I glanced at your article and you nailed it. I said similar things in different places but you wrote it so well. Downloads and episodic content. MS is already delivering to me what I've asked for and it's been a rough ride reading the nay sayers lately. I have faith the MS way is the correct and most logical path. Our spending habits have been telling them this for years.

This is how Nintendo is responding to the DRM/Used games issue. Personally I agree....if you make great content people will buy it.

My editorial wasn't about used games.
But in response to Nintendo's article, I don't even consider them to be a player in the same war as PS/XB. Sure they have their long-time, hard-core fanbase. But other than that likely shrinking niche, they have the young, the old, and other largely non-gamers in between.
Wii owners hold onto Wii Sports, pick up Mario Kart and probably not much else. So yeah, not a lot of trading going on. The number of 90+ rated games for Wii is probably one for every 3 XB/PS puts out. So I applaud Reggie for using whatever PR prowess he has to stay relevant....but whatevs.
