That I have no sympathy when my replacement at the company laying me off calls and complains for 10 minutes about her job???

Gah - I can't wait to be done!!! Only 6 more days after today. And the last two barely count because they'll mostly be happy hours!

Anyway...My friends and I started a book club last night. That's sort of a "we turned 30" obligatory thing to do right? It's really just an excuse to have a regular event scheduled to keep in touch - but I'm excited for the reading, too. This month's read is "The Black Dahlia." True crime, eh. We'll see how it goes. I can't wait until it's my month to suggest a book and I make the girls read some fucked up science fiction!

The book I'm reading now is called "Horns" by Joe Hill. I'm really liking it so far. It's about a guy who is trying to find out who murdered the love of his life and he wakes up with horns. And since he grew the set of horns, random people confess all the horrible crimes and sins they've committed or want to commit. It's strange, entertaining, and I think I might leave work early to finish it...

Also going on...Tonight Dean and I are going to see Dre.Dance at The Ordway. It's a contemporary dance company - never seen them or even really heard of them. But there were tickets at a silent auction we went to for a friend's charitable organization so I figured why not. It's a built-in date night. Dean is SUPER excited to go (yeah, not so much).

PS - I played about 30 minutes of Red Dead Redemption. I was bored as fuck. It probably gets more fun after the tutorial. But really Rockstar, we've all played GTA. Your tutorial doesn't need to be so long...and boring. I might write up something about how Rockstar games are all over-rated...We'll see. I feel like I need to give RDR a better shot than 20 minutes to be fair.
