This is so 'youetube' response video....LOL!

It doesn't matter what you blog about, what you don't blog about, what pictures you post or what you don't post, whether your are married or single.

Some people will label you as an attention whore.

You WILL be misunderstood.

It is damn near impossible to be "understood" by a wall-o-text and a few pictures. Don't even bother trying.

I mean this to be helpful and not cynical. Been there, did that, blasted away a year's worth of blogs because I was pissed. Now I just blog mindless bullshit.

Respectfully, I disagree. If the intent of someones blog is to give others a window into their lives, their shouldn't be anything wrong with it, and as a community we should be respectful of it. I appreciate when people post something up trying to be understood, even when I disagree. (For the record, you can label your blogs as mindless BS, but I like reading them, so I don't think you really are getting away with that. Most of your blogs really don't follow that theory, so don't go changing them now). ;D

Fade - I don't think we're saying anything too different. I'm saying that people have no context in which to judge you, so they'll make assumptions based on very limited information (your blog) so you're going to be misunderstood - right or wrong. That's not to say that you should filter how you want to use your blog. It's only to say that if you're going to use a blog to share more about yourself, expect to have people "not get you" sometimes. I can't tell you how many funny stories or blogs I wrote that totally backfired because people didn't have outside context to judge them with...I was baffled at times. And compared to my old blogging, I've totally dumbed down and lightening things up. I'm glad that you still like them though!

Yep. I agree Tara. It's a wall o text and some pictures. Who knows who is really behind the curtain? That being said: this is a community site. We all "live" together here, how else are we to judge who we are if not by our content, both in the threads and in blogs? We are too big to game and talk with one another, so how else can we get to know each other? The "person" that you put out there, the one that we "see" in the content we write is the one we will all know. My point is this: you can only gain either respect OR adoration. Going for one often negates the other. It's a fact. If you go for adoration: expect people to see it and call you out on it. SAdly as you have pointed out: the same will happen if you go the "respectful" route too.
