Those are words from Texas Flood by the late Stevie Ray Vaughn. Years ago I was with a group of people at a conference in Fresno and was amazed at how many people had never heard of him. Any loss of human life is tragic, but he took some amazing talent with him. I'm a big B.B. King fan, but SRV was a legend in the making. The link I added should take you to the song.
Well, it was floodin' down in Texas, but now it is hotter than _____! Yesterday it was 90+ with a heat index of 100+. A/C is still out, I live in a house with a tin roof . . .
I've been outside painting all day to get a load ready for my Dallas run this weekend. When I came in, it was hotter in here. I have so many fans going, my parrots are hangin' onto their perches for dear life! I'd stand in the fridge door, but then it would go out. First the a/c, then the water heater . . .If they really come in threes, I surrender. (-:
Before everything in the house went on the fritz, I had already bought my new 32" HDTV . . .first one I've ever owned. I'm kinda glad I did, or I would still be without one. I was cruisin' Craig's List looking for a stand for it and my 360, and out of the blue this wooden cabinet style home entertainment center pops up for fifty bucks! My boss looks over my shoulder and says,"Hmmm, Ashley tried to give me one just like that weeks ago, but I didn't know . . .wait a minute, that's Ashley's garage!" After shellin' out a lot of money for a wedding, I want it FREE, and I want it DELIVERED. LOL
Gotta move. My rear end is starting to become one with the chair.
Happy day!
