New Tricycle Racing Season

Well, the season has begun and the circuit is a bear, especially getting back into the routines and stress related to said profession. Those who know me understand; those that don't probably think I'm crazy. I can't really argue with that.

Blogging has been my release, my chance to vent. Not being able to has been a bummer, but I just decided to take a break between races to slap a few keys.

I got "THE" email this morning giving me the key to the shooter's wonderland - COD4. Thanks to some of my pals in 2Old4Duty, I found out I was supposed to have access awhile ago, but the email either never came, or I deleted it, or . . .? Pretty happy about it, though.

I just picked up a copt ofMOA - Airborne. I usually Gamefly things first, but took a chance this time. I also ordered an AKC - Octane gaming chair from Best Buy. I can't play sitting in the recliner anymore. And if you have ever sat in one of these . . .man, it feels good on the back. It's like a bucket seat on wheels. I worked my way through college in a grocery store. I lifted a lot of weight, many times the wrong way. You know, the "I'm young and bulletproof" syndrome. I used to think chiropractors were quacks, but I found one that ain't no duck. My back has been killing me, and after the first visit, most of the pain was gone. I went again yesterday, and I feel much better. The guy is the team bonecracker for an Austin rugby team. I've changed my opinion, at least as far as he goes.

Not much else on my mind. My spirits are high and my attitude remains positive despite the frustrations associated with my profession. I've been working on that, and I have decided I just am not concerned about what the suits think or say. They are so far from the front lines, they don't have a clue as to what reality is. I accept that, and continue to enjoy my associates. We're going to have fun the next two years. And that's the way it's going to be!

And remember, hearses don't have luggage racks or trailer hitches. Give to those in need when you can. Many times the most valuable gift is the gift of time. And no, that doesn't mean you can have my chair. It is for medicinal purposes only. I never inhale.
