Shared on Thu, 07/26/2007 - 08:50It's true; she's gone. This time for five days. Gone to Colorado for another reception of sorts for the youngest step-daughter being hosted by the groom's parents. She wanted me to take her to the airport at 3:00 AM. I don't do 3:00 but once a day, and the sun is out. I offered to pay for the parking, then meet her at the airport when she got back, as the oldest spent the night, and they took her car. The problem is, I stay up late, which is just the way I'm wired, and if I wake up in the middle of the night. . .I'm up for good.
I was going to try to go to the flea market and make a few bucks off newly aquired quality junk, but the rain is drawing me further and further from that plan. It's a nice covered area, but the crowd is less than half that of a nice day. So for five days, I basically have nothing planned, which may seem good to some, but it will drive me nuts. Everything I would be doing is an outside thing. Losing my Croc in a foot of silt is not one of the things I had planned.
On a more positive note, my step-mom was released from the hospital yesterday. There seems to be a problem concerning withdrawals from the hospital curly fries by my dad. This is the same dad that sent me to school with sandwiches made of Vienna sausages crushed into a paste mixed with mayo. I was a skinny kid. Dad has the eating habits of a catfish. If it ain't movin', you eat it. This is the same guy that to this day likes canned saurkraut an weiners. Blah!
Soooo, at 8:00 AM I blog. The rain has stopped, but I fear only long enough to recharge. I have never seen a July like this in my life. Grass should be dead by now. Instead, it's ankle high and wet. My front yard looks like a rice field.
Have a good one.
