I haven't played much Halo 3 since it came out. Smoke and I played the campaign and beat it, and it was a lot of fun. We even at one point got to play with Skycube and that was just funny listening to him and Smoke. I guess because I'm not that good I just didn't get into playing Co-op. I did try a few training games and I got my ass handed to me, so I just didn't go back to it. Once in a while I will step in for Smoke if he is preoccupied and for the most part it is fun playing with those guys, they are a riot to listen to.

This past week I started messing around with forge on Foundry. My first try was BAD, but the one I finished today looks like it will be an all around fun map for FFA. I love playing with the forge, I have so much fun creating and trying new things. I may not love playing the game since I suck but I am having a blast with the map making lol This just shows that even someone like me can have a blast with Halo I am now drawing out my maps first on grid paper, this makes it easier for me to see the finished look and decide if it is even going to be a good map. I can also let Smoke look at it and see what he thinks and if changes need to be made I can make them before I start building. This makes building it much easier in the long run. If anyone has an suggestions for me please just send me a pm, I am always looking for good ideas.

Grid paper huh? You've got the bug. Check out Forge Hub for awesome tutorials and tips on advanced techniques. Once I did that I started creating elements just for fun in a foundry canvas map. I practiced doing a lot of stuff there that eventually wound up as elements within my maps. The downside to mapmaking is that now that everyone can do it (and access awesome ones made by guys that could be level designing for Bungie) is that it is occasionally tough to get people to play your maps. For me I don't really care that much because just making them is pretty satisfying. But please link up your maps here or in the Halo forum when you do finish them. I love checking out other people's work too.
