This was some of the first DLC add-on content for a 360 game I believe, and I think MS was still testing the waters with its pricing policies. Needless to say, there was a huge uproar over paying 200 points ($2.50) for a bit of armor for your horse, and I was a part of that uproar. It has since become a running joke and the most glaring example of fuckitude by MS concerning their DLC. Nice to see Bethesda has a sense of humor about the whole horse armor thing now though.
Starting now and lasting a week, all Oblivion DLC is half price, but the horse armor will be twice it's normal price (up to 400 points).
I had been thinking about getting back to Cyrodil lately anyways, so this is perfect timing for me. I still need Vile Lair (now 75 points), Knights of the Nine (400 points), and The Shivering Isles (1200 points!). Getting Shivering Isles for only 1200 points is a steal. I couldn't justify paying $30 for it before, but I think I can swing $15.
