It finally Happened

Well I was back in store after the remodel for a week, then I was to help out a store that needed help with there BOH  (Back of House) ie store room since all stores where changing to the new system they needed someone to help out, and not to mention that this did not have a ASM or that many supervisors too boot.

Remember the talk about the promotion, this is the store that I would be going to, but I still had to wait to see if any other people were going to take the offer or just leave it. After the first couple days in the BOH we had a team of store managers that were trained in BOH, there job was to go around to stores to make sure that were doing it all correctly, so inhense we were given a grade,  we recieved a 62 out of 100  not bad since we really had not started on anything, not untill the following Sat night.

We had a job to get done in a week, since they would be back in 4 days to had out a second score card, All product had to be scanned out, racks had to be moved, and cleaned, then all put back in the new order, we are talking about 6  90' runs x 4 ' x 10'   kinda like the metal racks you see in lowes. There was 5 of us doing all kinds of different projects at the same time, getting ready for the next visit. The BOH was looking great not to mention the gaining of cube for product, the new way was about 3,000 not to bad since fall is coming around the corner and 4th quarter.

Well the BOH team finally did their vist at we recived a 84 now that was huge increase. We had only 3 days left to finish the BOH for the final score card which is being done today, I am sure we pass and recieve our certification.

Well all good things come to wait, I was finally offered the job as ASM of the store, the position will start effective this Sunday, after a week in the store I will go off to another  store for 5 weeks of training....LOL I guess this will go good with my 20 years of it....and even though I have been with the company for 2 years, you still have to take the training, its all good, it will go pretty quick since I pretty much now most of any way.

So after the 5 weeks It will be at the near of Aug, my daughters Birthday, getting ready for school, and to mention we will be moving the be closer to the store, I not going to be drive 2 hrs up and back every day, we will just rent out our home here and find something up there.

I look forward to this new part of my life, and venture I will be taking with the company within 2 years I should have own store can you say WOOT!!!
