So.............Waiting for the day to end here at work, as I got my Battlefield 3 Beta in my email this morning, and I'm itching to try it out.

I want to say Thanks to everybody for their input yesterday, regarding my son and his ipod expense.  FYI - I contacted iTunes and they asked me for the receipt numbers for the expenses in question, and I am waiting on email back from them today letting me know if they can help me out on this issue.  I will post it here once I know.  Regardless, if iTunes is able to do anything, I'm not telling my son and he is still going to have to work off this over the next 4 or 5 months.  My wife created a calendar that is on our door going out to the garage showing his chores for each day of the week, and a place for him to put check marks as he completes the work.  He now has dishes 3 days a week, trash from both bathrooms the day before trash goes to the curb, which he is responsible for as well.  This weekend he is pulling weeds and helping me replant several bushes in the yard, which he's never had to do before.  Hopefully this will get it through to him how much work goes into earning the money to make these purchases.

FYI - FIFA 12 is awesome.  I was about to skip on this years iteration of the game, and I am so glad I didn't.  This seems like the biggest change to the game in about 5 or 6 years.  What a difference!!!  Been playing the Early Release Version, thanks to the EA Season Pass and it is awesome.  Have to pick up the full version today, but will unfortunately, sideline it for a night or two while digging into the Battlefield 3 Beta (Demo).

That sounds like a reasonable solution. Some time back we (I) created what's come to be known as the Slave Labor Rules. Its basically what it sounds like...should it be merited, I somehow manage to find enough shit jobs for my son to do as punishment for whatever it was that happened. I haven't had to enact them often, but it has happened. :)

There was a comparable case here in the Netherlands, where a kid actually maxed his parent's CC. Claiming that the game Farmville was falsely advertizing free play, the parents went to court. I don't know how it turned out, but I don't think they won it, since FV is actually free to play and the act of buying gear to expand your farm is totally left up to you. That is, you can actually get the same results without buying all that gear, if you're willing to be an old man by the time you do get the results. I wouldn't hold my breath, TK.
