So I had been really looking forward to playing Battlefield 3 Beta, and after a few minutes I was able to get in a room. Match making was a little wonky. Highest ranked guy on my team was a Level 6 with everyone else being 1 or 2. The other team had 12 players all ranked 12 or higher. Really?!?!? As expected, the communication with my squad of randoms sucked ass, but I wasn't running with my usual crew, so there was that as well. The graphics were nice, but I had a couple of wierd instances where bullet tracers hung everywhere in the air looking like lights hanging about head level with everyone, making it hard to discern who was good or bad as it covered their names and markers. I forgot how frustrating Battlefield can be when you run without a group and when the other team is stacked with optics on thier guns and everyone on your team is carrying iron sights. Oh well, maybe a better experience tonight.
