...........sometimes I would have no luck at all.

So my wife and I decide to watch a movie last night hav a couple of drinks. A nice evening for the two of us. My daughter, Siobhan (4) went bed at 7:30 like usual, and my son, Gabriel (9) at 9:00. Everything seems pretty normal. Well about 9:30, my daughter starts coughing really bad in bed. She is very allergic to a lot of things that she has grown out of over time. Shortly thereafter she begins throwing up...............EVERYTHING!!!!!!! Would be so bad and it's happened before. Unfortunately she ate tons of Blueberries and Black Grapes all day. This was a horrorshow!!!!!! Just threw away her shirt and even the sheet on her bed, because it wasn't going to come clean. My wife had to get into the shower with her just to get her clean and to get the berries, etc........ out of her hair............LOVELY!!!!! Then I had my daughter, who's a total daddy's girl, sit with me on the couch to eat some crackers and have water, while she watched the Rays play the Indians. She loves watching baseball (especially Longoria and Carlos Pena). Then my son comes out and wants to watch as well. Of course, Siobhan wants him there because she loves her brother. So they watch the rest of the game. I get both kids back to bed around 10:45. Whew!!!! Disaster over????? Not quite!!!!!

We sit down to finally watch a movie and "POP" my picture goes out on my 60" TV in the living room. Now normally I would shrug this off and get up and go get the extra TV lamp I keep at the house for when it needs to be replaced. The problem is I just replaced the lamp with the spare two days earlier when our lamp went out. The lamps usually last about two years and cost about $200 a piece. SON OF A BITCH!!!!! I've had the replacement in the closet for about the last year, so no exchange or refund from the company I purchased it from. So now I had to order a new one last night, which means no Living room TV until Wednesday, which is a big deal when you have two kids wanting to watch different shows. Also, no video games until it's replaced. Yeah, I could play Xbox on my bedroom TV but it's not the same. So disaster over!!!!!! Oh not quite yet!!!!! Anybody remember Tropical Storm Bonnie in he Gulf of Mexico????

We were getting the tail end of the bands last night. No big deal, Lots of rain and 40 to 45 mile wind gusts. Heck I don't worry until we get a Level 2 hurricane. Well I have a nature perserve right behind my house. I heard a loud crash about 11:45 last night that scared the crap out of me. I went out back and the minor winds had felled a small tree..........................RIGHT THROUGH A SECTION OF MY FENCE!!!!!!! Damn!!!!! Too inexpensive to even file an insurance claim, but at least another couple hundred of dollars. I turned went back in, and said "I'm going to bed before anything else can happen". Hopefully today will be better!!!!!

Ouch! 2 days for a bulb and you can't return it? Double check the date and the return policy, you might get lucky. My last bulb lasted 6 months but I had a 1 year warranty. My DLP lamps never seem to go out with a POP. They start turning off randomly and it takes about a minute to get them to turn on again.
