This indicates that inmates are fighting. So, we all ran down the hallways to enter the unit. Upon arrival we had to fight our way through the inmates crowding the rotunda. Then we had to bulldog our way into a door. It was blocked on the inside by inmates attempting to prevent our intervention of what was accuring on the unit. Turns out the Mexican and Indian gangs had teamed up to take on a suspected rat from the Bloods. The blood was stabbed in the leg, about 1/4 inch from the main artery running through his leg. He was very lucky. Once the fight was broken up, we walked through the unit and found a total of 22 shanks (homemade knives). That is an ass load. These guys were about to go to war, and they were armed to the teeth. So today, I will get to spend my time strip searching an cell searching about 250 inmates. Fun Fun Fun, NOT!
