More Venting

Nope, I have decided that I have more to say about these jack asses.  You know, you really have to trust the people who work around you to step up and do the right thing.  But over and over again, I am experienceing too man fools too busy worried about getting fired, that they are willing to let someone else take the fall for bullshit.

Anyone else deal with this kind of stuff??

I am sure most of us do.. I worked hard to get to where I am, and so what if I have a position now where I have less demands on me.  The bottom line is, I interviewed for that job just like all the rest of those jack asses, and I got it.  Fucking get over it.  Move on.  It is not my fault that you hate your job and your life.  You should have finished school so you could have actully qualified for the position.  Yeah, that shit does pay off.  No, you dont have to goto college, get a BA or BS, or a Masters...but just realize that some jobs require that.  And sometimes, these jobs carry a bit more status.  So, dont blame me because you were unable to go to school, or because you dont have the drive to get the better jobs.  Spend less time bitching about what you dont have and more time trying to EARN, thats right, EARN what you want, and you too will love your job, just as I do.

I hate cry baby employees who sit around and complain about how much easier everyone elses jobs are.  If you want heo easier higher paying job, then go get it.  Keep trying until you do.  If you fail, learn a lesson and try again.  If you give up, then shut up.

Sorry about the rant. Now I am done....for now.

Ok, Im drunk so you get my drunk rant... Im ALMOST in a managerial position. Heres a rule I go by..... Treat all your employees how you wanted to be treated when you were in their position. Also, work with them. Show them youre willing to get dirty along with them. Stay late, send them home early on occasion. Treat them good and they will treat you good. True, some people you cant please, but, those people dont matter. I have 3 guys that work under me but I work besides them. I dont work completely as their lead, I work with them how a person should. You have to set the example to get them to respect you. There have been plenty of times where I have sent guys home and dealt with the shit. I have let the guys fuck off at times while I worked my ass off. In return, they have worked their ass off for me. If I say jump, they literally say "Fuck you" They laugh, then say "How fucking high cause Ill go and buy a god damn trampoline to get me there". Thats the kind of guys I have working for me. Alot of times when managers or leads get into a position it gets to their heads and sometimes you need to tell them to do shitty jobs, but, fuck all that. In order for them to respect you, do whats right. Do what you would have wanted a lead/manager to do for you. The people under you may be bitching now, but, they wont be in 2 months when you show them that youre eye to eye with them and are willing to bust ass along with thme. Mike

You are exactly right. However, these are people who would be considered equal in position, or just in another department, one in which I have no control over. The people who work for me, are great. They know they can count on me, and vice versa. In fact, my troubles developed when I was standing up for one of my employees. She was getting shit on my another department head, so the shit ensued. Thanks for the input.

I dont know what you guys do for a job, but I do construction so you can weed out the ppl that are trying to hide in the background. My job is clear cut, you work hard, you move up. The more you learn, the more you get paid. Thats not the commercial/union though. I give props to you guys, I couldnt handle that stress/bullshit. My job, our way of handling it is to grab the offender, dangle him upside down over the roofedge and wait for the usually expedient apology :)
